Annual Book Sale

Usually, in the month of March the Library holds its annual book sale in the Multi Purpose room of the Library.

The proceeds of this sale will go back into the general funds of the library, so that more books can be purchased.

For sale are a great selection of fiction and non-fiction, adult teen and junior books, audio books, video’s, paperback , magazines and westerns.

All items are gently used. Most items are either duplicate copies of books, donated items, or deleted books out of our collection.

Traditionally this fundraiser takes place in late October or early November. Participants can register as a group or individual. Watch posters for date and time.

Summer Reading Club

The Library offers the Summer Reading Club for their young patrons (12 years and under) on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in July and August.

The Club is based on a program developed by the Toronto Public Library and funded by the Toronto Dominion Bank. Through a variety of games, crafts and stories, the club offers the children a structured reading environment and rewards them for their personal achievements. The program promotes the fun of reading with the young patrons and increases their attendance at the library for the summer months.

There is no charge for attending this fun-filled club but pre- registration will be required.

Watch for posters and announcements at your library.

Summer Reading Program.

The Library offers the Summer Reading Program for the month of July and August.

This program is designed to encourage our young patrons to continue to read books over the summer holidays and in doing so to improve on their reading skills.

The young library patrons will receive an entry ticket to three weekly draws of book prizes for every book they read, or have read to them.

The Pine Creek School Division supports this program with a monetary donation to assist in the purchasing of the books.
